he spends his life upon trapeze
but is not adept as his colleagues
his grip is sure his courage not
he won’t let go the grip he’s got
to his left he sees her flip through air
a breeze, she leaves the bar behind
and tumbles through uncertainties,
is caught, swings off again in easy peace
proved by her elegantly
cool release
