.
I come upon a new word, lossiness,
which is so fine the way it slips through lips
and sums a feeling up
to be lossy:
to have kissed-off the past
to become apophatic in a small sense
to not define one’s self by what’s left in the dust
as we move along regardless
which is as close to impossible
as kissing-off the future
while still breathing
but yet . . . lossiness
—ah! lossiness,
its tug
