neat. beard. militarish. intending
threat, perhaps pretending
threat —who knows
what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
of course, the Shadow knows,
but that was then, on radio,
and almost fiction,
but there he was in 2016
shoving gun in face,
still is years later
more trumped up,
reality tv on steroids,
becoming more lethal by the minute,
more legal, and, with supreme irony,
harder to fire
