.hornblows in fog,
trainhorn, short long, short long
forlorn
muscle and gristle,
squeak and squeal,
rhythmic clicks,
thunder-mumble-rumble,
car-borne graffiti scrolls,
where once there’d have been a caboose comes,
horn again more distant more lasting more mythic
the bell rings
a man
sits
