I admit I’ve taken some:
extended arm I hoped might snap
what can’t exist— hoped that what my
smartphone found would be
another me (a greenhorn,
brilliant, bright, alert young man
smiling from its LED)
but by law (by earth’s biology)
it’s one more fantasy,
another techno-judas kiss-off,
another narcissistic fallacy
