Limbo

big moon sun dish

big moon sky dish
amber as a goldfish
early spring, duskish,
mirror of our sun disk
cherry tree in our yard
holds you in its trellis
many limbs akimbo
as you wax in heaven
and we wane in limbo .
.
big moon at night is
a bubble in a gin fizz,
or cipher in a math quiz
shuffling shadows in our yard
while we muse—
………………………… but who knows
what holds us in its trellis
as we blaze in moon glow
.
