under a full moon and luminous night sky
under stark trees in the cold
under stars unseen in light of full moon hung over a second sphere
with iron core cocooning a magma sea
under billions of human feet dancing upon a crust of granite, gneiss
and bed of earth black as pooled oil under fathoms of sea, sand, and stone and liquid Cenozoic residue,
under the smoke of burning pearls of wisdom curling through skulls
stifling communities of millipedes and mammals
under a luminous sky at night under a full moon radiating silver,
under these stark black trees in the midnight cold,
our billows of breath combined
under a canopy of white light over shaded earth
I walk with you
